It’s freaking Friday!

This has definitely been one heck of a week!  I am SO happy to say TGIF!!  Since so much occurred, I will just condense it down to our latest top 5 happenings.

⊕ If you remember me telling you  last week that I got referred over to an oral surgeon to perform the removal of my wisdom teeth, since the bottom ones are so close to my nerves, they didn’t want to risk any long term effects from it.  I went to the consult this past Tuesday, and scheduled for me to have them taken out on March 7, 2016! Ahh!  I have never  had any major surgeries, or been put to sleep, so this will definitely be an experience for me!

look at those bottom wisdom teeth

⊕ I had my first week of working two night shifts (back to back, mind you) and I got off at 615am this morning and was unable to sleep today, so I am definitely pretty exhausted right now! Brielle is definitely going to have an early bed time tonight! Good thing the actual shifts were pretty good with no major accidents, incidents, or problems, so that was a definitely blessing.

⊕ Shane and I had our second environmental health inspection (since we needed to fix a LOT of things the first time around, outside of our house, and we still ended up needing to fix just 3 major things this time around.. sooner or later we will pass that portion and be done with the inspection aspect of this whole foster/adoption process.  We also signed up for our very first  adoption event next Thursday night in San Antonio.  A lot of prayers would greatly be appreciated! 🙂

They said this barrier was “temporary”

⊕ I took all 3 of our pets to get all of their yearly vaccines, heart worm/flea medicine, and a whopping $300+ later, they shall be good for the next 6 months! Yay!  I loved hearing the compliments on how beautiful they are, that they look so healthy, and have great teeth, because quite frankly.. that is all what living in the country has done for them.  Our cat was terrified, our brown lab was uneasy about the situation/place, and then our lab/heeler was so hyper, excited to be there.  All three different personalities, so cute!

⊕ Brielle has definitely been having a toddler at-ti-TUDE lately.  We were finally done with her talking back and saying “no” with some sort of explanation as to why she doesn’t want to do what we ask her to do.  With a LOT of reinforcement from both Shane and myself, I can honestly say that she listens so much better, she knows that Shane and I will come as a strong force together and that she cannot manipulate one parent over the other, and that we acknowledge her feelings, but she is still going to have to do what we ask.

I hope you all have a GREAT weekend, and I cannot wait to hear what you all have been up to! If you want to keep up with me closer, you can follow me on snapchat:sheridanj2014.

Oh Happy Day! It’s Friday!

Hope everyone has had a great week! I definitely have to say that this one has been one of the best weeks I have had in a while!

Here are my top 5 favorites from this week:

–I actually had a mommy vacation, when my parents decided to take Brielle down to the coast for the night, which meant I had an entire day to myself! It was utterly amazing getting a pedicure, eyebrows threaded, a ton of shopping (a lot of stuff for Brielle and some for me), and just able to go place to place without having a toddler was just..amazing! I also got to catch up with 2 of my former nursing school friends, which was SO much fun and it filled my heart with joy to see them grow in their lives! 🙂

Hello Berry Spritzer from Starbucks! (forgot the name, but the drink was amazing!)

–I was really hoping and praying that Victoria would open a Barnes and Nobles, when all of the sudden I drove past a Hastings and was like “I forgot they still were open!”.  Well, come to find out, they carry all of the latest books, music, and games and it was a pretty big store.  I love that I got 6 (her sticker book is not shown) books that look very interesting for only $18! **Cue mommy dance**

–I got my last Birchbox make-up shipment in and I am SO happy with it, and can’t wait to try all of the products! My favorite has to be the red matte lipstick.  I am a girl who NEVER wears lipstick and it makes my lips looks amazing!  (Blog post to come)

Helllo Kylie Jenner! Haha JK! :)

–I only went to the gym once this week! (FAIL!) But while I attempted to multiple times in my head to wake up at 5:30am and just get the workout over with, it never happened, so I only attended one afternoon class.  Next week WILL be better, I promise! 🙂

–Tomorrow is my last day to work in Austin with my patient! While I am SO going to miss her and her family, I am glad and honored that I get to work her 4th birthday party! YAY! I can’t believe how much she has grown since I first started, and I am truly amazed at who she has become!

On a side note, this weekend will be filled with lots of joy and happiness, and definitely blog-worthy posts! Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am linking up below with some other websites below, click here and here. 🙂

It’s my birthday!

Wow, 27 years old.  I remember thinking, after turning 25, there really isn’t anything much to celebrate until you turn the big 3-0.  Whoa, was I wrong! This is the first year that I can actually tell you I am finding who I truly am.  Without college, being pregnant and having babies, this is the first year that I have had to grow and find who I truly am.  I will write down 27 things about me on my 27th birthday!

  1. I woke up at 4:30am to start out my 27th birthday year off right at the gym! (I have walked 5,469 steps and it’s only 6:30am)
  2. I found this passion for photography that I never knew I had!
  3. Crafting is still my weakness, but it’s something that I LOVE to do!
  4. I set a goal to lose 27 pounds by my 27th birthday, and I just accomplished it yesterday(lost 29 exactly)! (Still have a new goal to set, but so happy that I did it!)
  5. Late night walking with my husband and my baby, has become one of my favorite things to do.
  6. My favorite bath and body works product is the lavender and vanilla body wash that is supposed to help with sleep! 🙂
  7. I love to read! I just finished the book by author Anna Maxted and will be posting a review soon!
  8. My favorite season of the year is fall, and I am so happy it’s right around the corner!
  9. I am wanting to grow my blog further this year, and I will put in as much hard work as it takes, to do so!
  10. My top two favorite shows right now is Mistresses, and Total Divas.
  11. I love to work as an RN, but I LOVE to spend more time at home with my little love even more!
  12. Teaching is one of my biggest passions in life, and I probably will spend Brielle’s whole life teaching her something new every day!
  13. This is the first year in 5 years that I haven’t been pregnant or trying to get pregnant (kind of surreal).
  14. I have had the same best friends for over 10+ years (of course adding my favorite twins over the last 5+ years)
  15. I have’t dyed my hair since my sophomore year in high school in over 10 years (I definitely think that ages me a tad bit) lol!
  16. Brielle will tell everyone “look that’s mommy’s favorite color pink”, and every single thing that is pink, haha! Oops!
  17. This month marks two years that I have been with my home health patient in Austin!
  18. My favorite places in our house are the keepsake areas for both Lamar and Rochelle.
  19. I love me some pumpkin smelling candles in the fall time (well, really pumpkin anything in the fall sounds perfect to me).
  20. I have three animals (2 dogs and 1 cat)!
  21. Brielle’s liquid chalk markers, may just be some of my favorite things to use.
  22. My teeth have shifted so much since I stopped wearing my retainer years ago (really need to make my dentist appointment and get a new retainer)

  27. Rochelle’s middle name is Elaine (After shane’s family)
