1 year blogversary!!

1 year Anniversary

One year has come and gone sine I joined the WordPress team!

I actually wrote my very first blog Feb 10, 2014 and you can find it here.

I didn’t know what to expect when I made the sudden change.

I decided 2015 was going to be the year I took blogging seriously.

YOU GUYS (my awesome followers) have been AMAZING to  me.

You have lifted me up, gave me confidence, and I finally learned my own voice.

I have passions I never knew I had, hopes, and dreams that I never would have thought of.

I have over 220 followers that actually want to read MY content, that’s crazy!!

Some more stats: Over 300 posts written, almost 10,000 page views, and over 4,600 visitors!

Thank you so much for literally sticking around and growing with me!

Let’s make year 2 one for the books!! ♥

Daydream

Not realizing I was daydreaming

I moved a step back,

envisioning my house to stay the exact same,

as it was in that very moment.

Where all the dishes were clean,

the laundry was finally complete,

and all the clothes folded.

Where the floors looked shiny and new,

as if no one had walked on them yet.

Not noticing that I was smiling,

at how well I did sweeping and mopping.

Where the carpet was so clean,

and well-vacuumed,

that I almost forgot that I hand-scrubbed

the muddy dog prints off of them earlier that day.

Where all the toys were put up,

in their own perspective place.

And just realizing that in that moment,

I didn’t have to pick up tiny little papers,

from Brielle’s new passion of using her scissors.

It was as if I caught myself longing

for it to stay that way, just a little longer.

It wasn’t until I heard,

“mommy open the door”,

that my daydream ended,

and reality set in.

My Spot

Doesn’t everyone have that one place that just seems to make everything disappear?  That is truly how I feel like my special spot.

When I first met my husband, I hated this place.  I did not like the smell, the dirt, just the outdoors in general.  I wasn’t until I actually appreciated living in my little town, that I started to like going to this place.

If you are driving out of my little town, you would head down all the way to one very bumpy country road, until you reach my destination on the left side of the road.  You will drive down a good ways on another bumpy gravel path, until you reach several large oak trees.

When I first started to understand the glory and beauty of this spot, I fell in LOVE with it!  I love driving out there, imagining what life would be like out in the country.  Away from people, away from all the noise of living by the High School, and the football field, and just have the sounds of nature surround you every day.

Dreaming over the years of God providing a way for my husband and I to put our first house, on this special spot. This year, God found a way to help make this dream of mine happen.  I will be blogging, reading, and writing from my spot one day.
