This year I decided to do something different.. to register Brielle and little man in a Mother’s Day Out program! I love to homeschool the children and teach as much as I can, while they are awake. Well, going from one to three kids in just 6 weeks time cut my teaching time a down a lot with the kiddos, and so I started looking for alternate ways for them to get that time to hang out with other kids their age, and have fun learning all day!
So Shane and I decided to put the kids in a program called Happy Hearts, which is a Mothers Day Out program that offers the kids the ability to come two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 8:30-3:30. We have never wanted to put the kids in daycare, and we felt like this was the perfect fit for our family.
I am still going to teach the kids M,W,F and when they are out of school, but I think this is such a great time in our life and we have to maximize the opportunities when they present themselves.
Today, we (me and the kids) met the teachers that are going to be teaching them this year, and let me tell you… they are some of the kindest people I have ever met! It was chaotic bringing all of their supplies (kinder mats, box of kleenex, bags with their spare undies and clothes, blankets and pillows, etc), but they helped me out so much to make it go so smoothly. Little man seemed to excited to just have a room with a lot of toys that fit his age, and Brielle was basicall the same. She immediately went up to her table and found her name, and said “look that says Brielle” and went on to play with a ton of toys they had. Thank goodness it went to smoothly with both kids!
What am I going to do with all this free time? Well, I am still going to have baby girl at home with me, and let me tell you.. I don’t really get much of a break. I am going to be driving an hour and a half to and from her appointments/family visits during the time the kids are in school and it will definitely be time consuming, but way easier without two extra toddlers around, I am sure.
I am hoping this season will be so good for our family and I can’t wait to see the growth of Brielle and little man, and how much they learn over the next few months!
We will go day and day, and hope and pray that everything works out!

I hope you get a little time to yourself with all this. And on the days you have a long commute, you could listen to an audio book. I love to do that lately. 🙂
