A day off work=fun in the sun!

The summer is a time to really be out in the sun and spend time with family! Brielle actually got to spend it with her cousins Emma and Aide a couple of times and had a blast! I knew that I only get to have a couple days off of work and spend time with my niece and nephew this month, so I took full advantage when my brother had to work and we got to spend time with the kiddos! 🙂

We decided to go to the Thinkery (the children’s museum) on one of the days in Austin so all the kiddos could run off some energy and have a lot of fun learning about all types of different things.  I love that in this museum, you can really have as much fun as your kiddo does, because everything is catered to the child and the adult which I find very cool.  It’s interactive, and at different stations there is usually one employee who will guide the kids and help do the activity!  I think all of the kids loved the magnet wall and anything to do with water, the best. They had a ton of fun and were pretty worn out when we left, and we knew that they would need food and then they could all get a good nap.  So after a pit stop at In-And-Out which was so delicious, we had to drop off all of the Ronald McDonald donations we had received from Brielle’s party.  They were so sweet and appreciative of all of the donations, and even wrote a thank you note to our family, which we got in the mail just a few days later after dropping off all of the donations.  I love the Ronald McDonald House and I definitely hope to be able to donate more in the near future! 🙂

On another day, we (my mom and I) took all three kiddos to the pool (and let me tell you, BLESS all you mamas with 3+ kids and manage it by yourself) and it was SO fun to see each of them excel in different areas at the same time.  Emma is such a great swimmer, Brielle is just now starting to get comfortable but won’t really swim away from us and will only swim to the other person if they are a few feet away, and aiden is so funny because he just loves to kind of float and just go where the girls go.  The loved that the pool in Lockhart has a baby pool where they could all stand and pretty do whatever they wanted to a certain extent as long as they stayed near us.  What surprised all of us, was that there was a splash pad outside of the pool area within walking distance, AND we didn’t have to pay extra to get in there (win, win!) Brielle is definitely NOT one for water splashing in her face, or going under the water, so I think she took the most time to adjust to the splash pad.  Emma and Aiden took to it very quickly and loved it, but after about 20 mins there, we could tell that the kids were getting pretty worn out/hungry and so we all headed back to my moms to be able to feed the kids before laying them all down for a well needed nap! (I love that Emma is really the only one that doesn’t have to take a nap but will let the other kids rest without interrupting them.   This was actually the first day that I really went swimming ALL summer and it was super fun!

The days were full of love, kisses, excitement, a couple of temper tantrums, and whole lot of FUN! I loved my day offs and it filled up my heart with so much!

Here are some pictures from the days 🙂
