The letter of the week: F

This week was so fun, and filled with lots of fun adventures for both Brielle and I! I was trying to get creative because I knew if I just said “F is for…” she would automatically say fish.  It’s like Shane has somehow engraved that into her head, it’s kind of hilarious.  So thinking outside of the box it was for me and we both had a great time doing it!

First, I knew our rose bush was started to bloom, which this is the first year that she actually gets to be apart of the process of picking them off to put them in our house, and she loved it! Well, rose bushes are actually pretty sharp, so she was just mostly involved in the putting the flower in the vase and filling up the water, but she loved watching the whole process!

Then there comes fun; which definitely included visiting friends, making new friends, and fitting in some quality time with the family! It was so nice to see Brielle genuinely enjoy some really special moments and you could just see how much joy she was having and that’s how I would defy fun.  Seeing her happy, makes everything worth it.

Fixing stuff has been on her to-do list lately.  I think when she hangs out with Daddy, Papa, or her Paw-Paw they all three have one thing in common–to fix stuff.  With Daddy of course she was learning how to fix the pole to set it up and have it all ready to go fishing.  With Papa she was helping fix the license plates on my moms car since they finally came in and she was definitely involved in the process.  With her paw-paw she would have him tell her how to fix random things they have in their house.  It was so cute to see her bonding with each one of them and I truly hope their bonds only get stronger over time.

Last but not least, fishing.  She has grown to absolutely LOVE to go fishing with Daddy and I swear, if it was possible to go every day, I am sure the two of them would.  It was so exciting this week because while Brielle finally learned how to correctly reel in the fishing line on my pole, she actually caught a FISH! We were so happy for her and I wish I would have caught her very first fish on camera, but we were so happy and living in the moment I definitely forgot!

This week was tons of fun and next week will be hard to top, but off to G we go!
