This week was a fun week for her, since she is now understanding that dogs start with the letter D, even though I swear she says “cog” or something like that. She loves to dance, draw, eat donuts, ask for drinks all day,so this week was a fun-filled week! We even got to take a trip to visit Nana and Grandpa, and she had to show them what letter she was learning!
She is starting to learn the letters specifically, and remembering the old ones, which is something that I am still so amazed about. I mean, she’s not even two and her memory is incredible! I wish mine was like that now, lol :). She finally has a fascination with the letters on her wall in her room, which have made this process a whole lot more fun.
Her favorite things to draw are cats (specifically one named Oscar), monkeys, dogs, and really any animal. The only thing is, to her they look exactly like the animal, but in reality they look like a whole bunch of scribbles. I praise her for those scribbles, because I know one day she will be drawing the actual animals and I will be able to tell her where she started from, oh and show her cute pictures! 🙂
When Brielle found out that Nana and Papa had bought her a doughnut with sprinkles, she was over the moon excited about it! The funny thing is, she probably only ate half and was full. She was so happy I asked her “what’s D for? and she said Oscar”, so we are taking time getting there, but we will!
Her other favorite animal to see is a donkey. The crazy thing is, in our small town, their is a family that has a donkey in their front yard right around the corner, and brielle HAS to see the “gonkey” every time we are on a walk. I can tell she really is interested in all of the variety of animals around our house (goat, horses, deer, donkey), so I wouldn’t be surprised if she starts asking us for one of them in about 5 years or so.
Next week, we actually get to go to the Austin Zoo, so I know she will LOVE “E” if she gets to see an Elephant!
