This week has consisted of a lot of Brielle’s favorite things. I didn’t realize how many of her things she loves and asks for all the time, start with a C! This week she was at a lot of different places so that meant taking our teaching elsewhere, besides in the home!
I wanted to gather a picture, with some of her favorite things, and realized how much Brielle and I are alike. She especially got my sweet tooth, poor thing. This was definitely an easy week to show her and describe to her things that either start with the letter C, or have the letter in it.
When trying to draw and trace the letter, she keeps calling it a moon, which in some regards it is very similar, so I like that she made that relation. She is getting really good at tracing over lines, it is mainly the curves that are definitely harder for her to do.
Her favorite animal (in probably her little world) is a cat. Not just any cat, our special tomcat Oscar. She thinks every cat is named Oscar, regardless if you tell her the cat’s correct name. She has loved cats since she was a baby and always took to them before dogs. I love that she so much excitement, and whenever she sees the letter C now, she says “Cat for Oscar!!” haha small steps..
Let me just name a few of her favorite things, which will explain why she loved this week that much more. She loves to color, just about everything. She loves coffee, candy, cookies, cake (okay why does all the sweets have to start with a C that are bad for you?), ok anything sweet. She loves her juice cups, and love asking you for “moooore”. Her favorite thing is probably knowing which page a picture of a cat is on, flipping to it, and showing you Oscar.
I love how excited and enthusiastic she gets when she knows she is learning something new, especially with her short attention span, I have to keep finding new ways to keep her focused and willing to learn. Love how she is picking up on the letters, slowly but surely! 🙂
